Expertise that exceed pond liner installation expectations
The team at Russetts Developments (RDL) are renowned for their customised pond liners and on site 1.2mm Flagon Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) pond lining service. We have a number of photographs from works we have undertaken. In this article we share two projects we recently under took.
For complicated formal pond designs we use TPO rather than Butyl or EPDM rubber pond liner materials. The reason for choosing TPO is that it is of the highest quality and allows us to weld the liner on site whereas with Butyl or EPDM they need to be fabricated to the required shape at our factory. With this particular pond design it included three columns in the middle of the pond. Welding on site with TPO allows us to get the measurements exactly right which makes for a much more aesthetically pleasing finish.
Before installing the pond liner to a pond, we line the whole pond with a Geotextile underlay to protect it from any sharp objects from damaging it. The TPO material is then installed directly over the underlay liner.
Once we leave a job like this one below, the landscapers will continue and do all the finishing touches around the edge of the pond to make it look aesthetically pleasing. On this example the flap of TPO outside the pond will be covered by a layer of brick to hide the rivets and patches from view for a neat finish.
If you are planning a complicated and irregular shaped pond, we can then cut out the shape and add in the walls. For very complicated formal pond designs we can custom make and install the tailored-to-fit pond liner on site using our 1.2mm Flagon Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) liner.
