How to achieve water containment in a concrete tank

Here Russetts Developments share their expertise in Tank liner supply and installation. Commercial water storage tanks are important for businesses either for fire protection water storage or for companies reliant of water for manufacture.

Here is an example of a concrete tank we lined with a FLAGON 1.5mm PVC. We had to use PVC due to the shape of the tank being too complex for it to be made out of Butyl or EPDM. All the liners we install, we protect the liner by first installing a layer of matting underlay to all the walls and the base before welding the liner.

We also install all the fixtures and fittings inside the tank i.e. the overflow, manway, ball valve, drain valve, pump suction outlet etc.
Finally we do all the final checks to make sure we are happy the tank is ready to be filled.

Tank liner installation to this concrete tank

This is a concrete tank liner installation we did earlier in the year.  This tank had a small shelf which is the main reason it was made out of PVC. As always it was installed with a protective layer of matting between the concrete and the liner and finished off by fixing all the fittings as seen in the top right picture. A great job done by the site team!
