A customer who ordered a tailored-to-fit pond liner from us has shared a few photos of their small water feature project. The pond liner was box-welded from 1.0mm EPDM pond liner at our facilities in Milton Keynes. Geotextile underlay was used to cover the vertically sided rectangular feature before the pond liner was installed.
Our customer sent in the following specifications along with a drawing from which we were able to send a quote and then weld a pond liner to fit 'like a glove' to his pond build:
- 375cm long and 48cm wide at its widest end point tapering to 40cm at the narrowest end
- Depth is 66cm
- The walls are 100mm brick and block on three sides so a 100mm overlap is needed to go over the top
- The back wall is a 12 ft high stone wall and I will be fixing the liner to it with a horizontal decking board (sandwiching the liner ) screwed against the wall.
Box-welded pond liners are tailored-to-fit vertically sided ponds (rectangles, circles or “L“ shapes) where excessive folds and creases need to be avoided. Formal ponds with planting shelves, sloping bases, uneven depths or a haunched base to fit a bottom drain to Koi ponds, can all be accommodated.
Our box-welded pond liners are tailor-made from 1.0mm EPDM rubber or 0.75mm Butyl and come with a 25 year guarantee provided it is installed above a protective underlay. The liner is fabricated to fit the exact shape of your pond with an overlay lip upon which flagstone or other edging material can be placed to secure the pond liner in place.
To assist us in providing you with the box welded pond liner you require, we will need a drawing showing all the dimensions. Our service offers a bespoke pond liner cut and welded to the exact shape of your pond.
