Tank Liner Specialist Sponsors TGB Junior Golf Tour
Wednesday, February 18, 2015
Tank liners form an integral role in rainwater harvesting and water storage. Golf Clubs are notorious for high water consumption see to maintain the fairways in the lush, manicured and pristine condition golfers expect. Water is becoming increasingly more expensive so Golf Clubs, irrigation farms and many outdoor sports facilities are investing in the instalment of galvanised water storage tanks to harvest rainwater for dry periods of the year.
The TGB Junior Golf Tournament
, of which RDL are a sponsor, starts in April at the Abbey Hill Golf Centre before moving onto to other venues for the duration of the event. The last game of the tournament will be played in October. The tour provides a fun environment for junior golfers to compete on golf courses in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire.
Water storage tanks, as found at many golf clubs across the country need not have a conspicuous presence that deters from the beauty of the surrounding landscape. They can be hidden behind a wooden screen, sculptured shrubs or a purposefully built wall. The external screening can take on any form, but it is the water storage tanks internal surfaces that need the best protection to guarantee a long life-span for the tank, which if damaged will cost a fortune to replace.
Flexible rubber tank liners
fabricated from EPDM or Butyl are UV and abrasion resistant with a brittle point at -400
C. They are very flexible making them easy to install. The tank liners as supplied by RDL include the Easifit system which means the roof to the tank does not need to be removed when doing a liner reinstallation saving on labour time and costs.
