Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) synthetic rubber liners are very effective for outdoor functions requiring long-term weathering properties. The flat sheet liner can be fabricated for lining water storage tanks, domestic garden ponds, irrigation and slurry lagoons, lakes and reservoirs. EPDM liners are also used for bespoke projects such as the fabrication of box-welded liners for ornamental vertically-sided water features.
EPDM as supplied by Russetts Developments Ltd (RDL) offers a range of features that makes it suitable for many water containment applications:
- High elasticity irrespective of the surrounding temperature. It will always return to its original shape after stretching and moulds easily into the contours of a pond, lake, reservoir or tank.
- Highly resistant to UV degradation with a life expectancy of around 40 years.
- Good resistant properties to many chemicals and can also be used to line water storage tanks.
- Non-toxic properties with no negative impact on fish, plants or wildlife therefore it can be used for water containment applications involving aquatic life.
RDL also supply galvanised steel bolted storage tanks and tank liners with roof system used for the storage of water for the fire sprinkler, potable water and irrigation markets. The roofing system is used to seal the tank giving a reliable and low maintenance solution to water storage.
Our main expertise lies with fabricating EPDM, Butyl and SealEco rubber liners. However, where tank liners are required for the containment of more aggressive liquids, we are able to offer alternative liners. Examples if aggressive liquid tank liners include Polypropylene, and Flagon Soprema synthetic liner of TPO modified Polyolefin and Flagon Soprema PVC.
RDL have years of experience in water containment solutions and will assist in supplying the liner most suitable to the application.
