Pond Liner Installation at Botanic Gardens

Russetts Developments were contracted to repair a leaking pond which formed part a lake flowing into two water features located in the Botanic Gardens at the University of Bristol.

Part of this lake includes a pond for aquatic and bog plants. The existing concrete structure had cracked and the pond was leaking therefore was in need of re-lining.  This was achieved by first lining with 400g/m2 geotextile to protect the liner during installation and then installing Flagon GeoP 1.2mm TPO pond liner membrane.

A chase was cut into the concrete 200mm from the edge and below the water line. Metal flashing strips were riveted in to which the membrane was attached.
